Set of scores from the 18th and 19th centuries.
1/ - Dummy collection of pieces for piano or forte piano. One volume in-4 entirely engraved, green half vellum, covers and corners rubbed:
- a/ - Jean Cretien Bach - Six Sonates Pour Clavecin et forte Piano avec Accompagnement de Violon ou Flute Traversier. 16th century work. Paris, Sieber, s.d. [ca. 1780] - [1 f.], 22 pp, label pasted below the publisher's name "Chez Mlle Castagnery Privilégiée du Roy, A la Musique Royale, rue des Prouvaires...", Sieber's signature at the bottom of the title, marginal restoration to one leaf, tear without missing 1 leaf. Some fingerings indicated by hand. A very rare edition.
- b/ - Muzio Clementi - Tre Sonate per il Clavicembalo o Forte Piano, con l'accompagnamento d'un violino e Basso. Paris, Leduc, s.d. (label covering the original publisher's name) - [1 f.], 21 pp. (piano part); [1 f.], 6 pp. (violin or flute part).
- c/ - Manuscript unsigned [13 ff.]: Anglaises pour le forte piano; Romance d'un troubadour; le Bouquet d'Annette... 1 folio missing 9/10ths; marginal loss to 2 folios affecting the staves.
- d/ - M. Piccini - Six romances with harpsichord and obbligato violin accompaniment. Paris, chez l'Auteur, s.d. - 1 f.], 14 pp. These romances, dedicated to the Baroness de Bourdic, were written by her.
- e/ - Journal hebdomadaire, composé d'Airs d'Opéra et Opéra-Comiques, mêlé de Vaudevilles, Rondeaux, Ariettes Françoises et Italiennes, Par les meilleurs auteurs. 1785-1790. 21st year (nos. 1, 19, 43-46); 22nd year (no. 15); 23rd year (nos. 6, 9, 32, 46, 47); 24th year (11-12, 13, 15-21, 23-25 (lacking 1 f.), 26, 28, 30-52); 25th year (nos. 1-9). Very uncommon.
2/ - Factitious collection of engraved and manuscript pieces for piano. In-4, fawn half calf with small corners, smooth spine decorated with lyres and gilt fillets, leather partly detached at head of spine, edges and corners rubbed, supra-libris "Mlle Adèle du Ponceau" (Gabrielle-Adèle- Alexandrine Amys du Ponceau - 1802-1861, married Jules de Contades. Her eldest daughter Valentine became Duchess of Luynes through her marriage in 1843 to Louis d'Albert de Luynes).
