France (Anatole) – Mossa (Gustave-Adolphe) *The Seven Wives of Bluebeard and Other Wonderful Tales*. Paris: Ferroud, 1921. 1 volume, in-8°, contemporary binding in full cherry morocco with edged slipcase, ribbed spine with author, title and date in gold lettering, all edges gilt on endpapers, 1 gilt fillet on the edges, guilloché cap ends. Inside covers lined with navy blue morocco leather with geometric gilt fillets forming a frame, flying endpapers of royal blue moiré. (Bound by P. Affolter, 1922). Covers and spine preserved. Copy 135 of 200, printed on Japon paper, containing two versions of the illustrations, including one in black and white. Copy enhanced with a suite on China paper. Dedication by the author on the half-title page: ‘To Mr Jacques Coppens de Fontenay, with respect, Anatole France’. A fine copy, very well bound and illustrated by this great French Symbolist painter.
