Paris, Edouard Pelletan, 1902. 1 volume in-4°, bound in full red morocco with extensive gilded and mosaic decoration on the covers, plain spine with gilt metal tools and a longitudinal title label, gilt head, inner covers in red morocco with a gilt scroll border. (Bound by Marie-Louise H. Farge). A print run of 225 copies; this copy, number 25, is printed on heavy Chinese paper. Covers and spine preserved; the two-leaf subscription form is bound in fine condition. 35 black-and-white compositions by Auguste Rodin, Eugène Carrière, Daniel Vierge, Willette, Dunki and Steinlen. A rare, clean copy free from foxing – which is quite unusual for a copy on Chinese paper – with a superb signed binding.
