Mérimée (Prosper) *La Double Méprise*. Paris: Fournier, 1833. 1 volume, in-8°, paperback, as published, with its plain orange dust jacket. Title page on white paper with the author’s name and title printed. This volume is protected by a slipcase, the spine of which is in long-grained red morocco with the author’s name, title, date and bookbinder’s name gilded; the cardboard case is edged with red morocco. (Bound by Huser) Spine of the slipcase faded by sunlight. Collated and complete: half-title, title, 290 pp., 1 blank folio. A few foxing spots on the first two leaves; both covers were lined at the time with printed leaves taken from another book; the rest of the volume is clean. A fine copy with full margins.
