1 volume, large 8vo, bound in full bronze-green morocco, in a slipcase edged and lined with yellow velvet. Ribbed spine with gilt title, all edges gilt. Inlaid with a magnificent chiselled leather plaque depicting two figures in black and gold, signed A. Lepere (Auguste Lepère). Endpapers surrounded by green morocco and gold fillets framing red moiré, flying endpapers of identical red moiré. (Bound by Marius Michel). Ex-libris by Louis Barthou. Spine slightly sun-faded. Cover preserved without the spine. Copy no. 3, printed especially for Louis Barthou, Minister of the Interior. Copy on Chinese paper embellished with a colour watercolour by Daniel Vierge. A fine copy with very few pinholes, which is remarkable for this paper, which is often stained.
