Geometric mosaic decoration on the covers with gilt fillets. On the front cover, the bookbinder has added Mac Orlan’s famous beret. Ribbed spine with author’s name and title in gold, gilded head. Inside covers in sea-green moiré surrounded by green morocco, flying endpapers in moiré of the same shade. Covers and spine intact. (Flammarion binding). A copy free from foxing, complete with all 8 reproductions of the author’s watercolours. First edition printed in a run of 301 copies; this one is no. 129.
