Description
Méheut (Mathurin) *Etude de la mer*. Paris: Emile Lévy, publisher, Librairie Centrale des Beaux-Arts, undated (1913). First edition. 2 folio volumes, publisher’s cardboard binding in full green percaline, smooth spine with title and decoration in white, front cover with title and a seahorse design in white. Interior very clean, binding in fine condition. Numerous bister and green reproductions in the text; only the 50 colour plates are numbered. The colour plates were printed separately and mounted on card set on a tab. Collated and complete. 22 plates in Volume I and 28 in Volume II. As indicated at the beginning of the second volume, due to a numbering error, plate 6 does not exist; the last plate is numbered 29. A very fine copy with no foxing.
