Jacob (Max) La Côte, *A Collection of Celtic Songs*. Paris: Éditions Crès et Cie, 1927. 1 volume, in-4°, bound in full midnight blue morocco, with a bordered slipcase; smooth spine bearing author and title; Art Deco geometric mosaic on the covers in black, blue, gold and silver morocco; all edges gilt. On the inner covers, a lovely decoration of blue and black morocco in a mosaic pattern framing black moiré endpapers. (Bound by Jeanne Langrand, 1930). Spine slightly sun-faded, normal wear to the joints. Covers and spine well preserved; a clean copy with no foxing. A very fine edition illustrated by the author, featuring 17 stencil-reproduced gouaches, including 15 as inserts. Superb colour illustrations by Max Jacob. A very small print run for this sought-after work—only 210 copies—this one, one of 200 on pure-fibre vellum, bears the number 47.
