Description
Vercel (Roger) – Péron (Pierre) *Remorques*. Paris, at the Pen-Mur Press, 1943. 1 volume, in-4°, bound in full black morocco leather, in a cardboard slipcase. Green and blue maritime mosaic decoration on the front cover. Spine with raised bands, author’s name and title in gold lettering, gilt head. Gilt garland framing the inner covers; navy blue moiré endpapers. Covers preserved without the spine. (Bound by A. Bruel, Angers). Second paper after 5 on Japanese paper. Copy no. 2 of 25 on Arches paper, featuring an original colour watercolour signed by Pierre Péron, as well as a black-and-white set of the watercolours. A very fine copy, free from foxing, enhanced by a handwritten dedication by Roger Vercel on the half-title page to Mr André Coquelin.
