Collectif, *Book of Prayers*, published by Ch. Mathieu. Paris, 1858.
1 volume, in-12, bound in full navy blue morocco leather in its blue percaline slipcase. Plain binding, edges gilt and chiselled. Inside covers lined with brown morocco embossed with fleurs-de-lis, flying endpapers of blue moiré (Kauffmann binding). A luxurious book of hours whose leaves, mounted on tabs, are chromolithographed with gold highlights. Also included in its black cardboard box are four Roman parish almanacs in 16mo format for the four seasons, dated 1869, bound in full red morocco, with a ribbed spine bearing the title, covers bearing initials, and all edges gilt and marbled. Slight scuffing from normal use. Rare in its original box.
