Two volumes in 8vo, in garnet morocco, with triple gilt rule binding on the covers, a decorated ribbed spine, title and volume number labels in fawn morocco, gilt-edged with gilt filleted caps and edges (contemporary binding). A MAGNIFICENT ILLUSTRATED EDITION, entirely engraved, from the FIRST PRINTING, with the uncorrected error on page 108 of the second volume. It features 2 fleurons, 2 frontispieces and 324 ILLUSTRATIONS, including large plates, vignettes and subject-based culs-de-lampe, as well as 27 more or less ornate headpieces and 164 beautiful initials.
