ILLUSTRATED BOOKS. 3 bound volumes: - BAZIN (René). [BROUILLET]. Une Tâche d'encre. Illustrations by André Brouillet. Tours, Mame, 1900, in-4 (24.5 x 32.5 cm), 224 pages, 23 plates, including a colour frontispiece portrait, captioned scrolls, and black-and-white vignettes. Contemporary half-caramel-coloured basane leather binding with raised bands. – Simple binding; volume in good condition. - SUE (Eugène). *Le Juif errant* [followed by] *Paula Monti ou l’Hôtel Lambert* [followed by] *Plik et Plok*. Paris, Maresq, (1850), in-4, 1f.-344pp. – 64pp. – 40pp. Contemporary fawn half-basane, smooth spine, gilt fillets, volume number. - A few foxing spots. 2 loose leaves. (‘Illustrated Works of Eugène Sue’ collection). These three titles form Volume 3 of the *Illustrated Works of Eugène Sue*, published by Maresq, who reused some of the woodcuts from the 1845 Paulin edition for the illustrations. For the other two titles, the vignettes are by Beaucé and Staal. (Witkowski 136). - FENELON (François). [FOULQUIER]. The Adventures of Telemachus, followed by The Adventures of Aristonous. Two notes by M. Poujoulat. Fourteen etchings by V. Foulquier. Tours, Mame, 1873, in-4 (18.5 x 27.5 cm), 2ff.–XIIIpp.–1f.–401pp.–1f. - frontispiece and 13 vignettes in headbands. Later binding, caramel-coloured half-shagreen, ribbed spine, gilt fleurons, trimmed; cover and spine preserved. - Cover soiled; the rest of the volume in good condition; interior fresh.
