Description
GEORGE III, King of England. Large manuscript on vellum (63 x 82 cm) with an engraved border and an engraved portrait of King George III of England in the top left-hand corner. The border is richly decorated with trophies, cherubs, putti and rocaille motifs, with red fillets between the lines; accompanied by the royal wax seal, preserved in a zinc case (the design on the case is unrelated to the wax seal). The seal is broken and incomplete. The document is dated in the twentieth year of the reign of Charles III, namely 1780.
