The work of Dom Félibien (1665–1719), son of Félibien des Avaux, was continued and expanded by Dom Lobineau (1667–1727), who, like him, belonged to the Congregation of Saint-Maur.
In good condition. From the important library of the Premonstratensian Abbey of Cuissy (Cuissy-et-Geny, Aisne), with handwritten notes on the title pages and a library call number (18th century), subsequently from the library at Laon, with a wet stamp on the title page and the last page of each volume (first half of the 19th century), and from the library of Count Bernard de Poncins (1862–1946), bearing an ex-libris with the combined coat of arms of himself and his wife, Madeleine d’Orléans de Rère. Small tears at the folds of the map with a small loss. Slight foxing and a few small water stains. A few worn caps and corners; tears at the joints of one volume.
