First edition, illustrated with a frontispiece drawn and engraved by Jean Baptiste Audebert, printed in colour, and 362 plates of insects, engraved mainly by Jean-Louis Copia, after Jean Lebrecht Reinold and Jean Baptiste Audebert, mounted on tabs. Good condition. The title page of the plates volumes (volumes VII and VIII) was not retained by the bookbinder. Slight foxing.
