Small 8vo, 10 x 16.5 cm, 1 leaf, VI pp. (of VIII), 1 leaf, 664 pp., modern imitation binding in marbled fawn half-calf, ribbed spine decorated with gilt scrolls, ivory vellum corners. First edition of this handbook, presented in the form of a dictionary, describing nearly 500 plants. A fine copy, lacking the half-title page – as in all known copies – and the errata sheet; from a Jesuit library (wet stamp on the title page) and from Gilbert Dufaux (dry stamp on the title page).
