Bound together with: An extract from all the royal ordinances from which one may derive assistance and which are necessary for those who frequent the royal courts and appear before the parliaments… Poitiers, Jehan le Gros, Pierre Gachon, 1519. 33 folios (incorrectly numbered XXXII) + [7] folios ([A]-D8, E4, A4). Two works in a single Gothic in-8 volume, with 26 and 28 lines per page, 9.7 x 14.3 cm, contemporary binding in light-coloured tanned leather, plain spine with three raised bands, traces of fastenings. A rare Gothic edition of the customs of Poitou, based on the one published by the great publisher Marnef in 1521. Pelican mark on the title page, printed in red and black. Fine woodcuts depicting the arms of France at the end of the table of contents and on the two title pages of the final parts of the *Extraict*. A fine mark by Pierre Gachon at the end of the penultimate part of the *Extraict*. Initials on a black background. A very fine copy in its original binding, annotated in ink in the margins, presumably by several hands in the 16th century, with pointing marks and vertical lines, as well as underlined sentences.
