Ibid., id., 20 April 1562. 11 ff., 1 blank f., 96 pp. (★6, **6, a-m4). Two works in one folio volume, 20.5 x 32 cm, 18th-century binding in marbled fawn sheepskin, ribbed spine decorated with gilded motifs. A fine edition of the Commentary on Nobility and a rare first edition of the ‘In res inter alios actas…’ by the famous jurist from Poitiers, immortalised by Rabelais. Frontispiece titles, portraits of the author, headpieces and initials engraved on wood. Marginal water stains. Frontispiece of the second work slightly trimmed by the bookbinder’s knife.
