Baillières et fils, 1866. 2 volumes in-4, 24 x 30.5 cm, 3 folios, 264 pages & 1 folio, 30 pp., 1 f., 59 plates (incorrectly numbered 60; one double plate numbered 17–18), contemporary binding in brown half-calf with corners, ribbed spine, title labels, gilt head. First edition, illustrated with 59 lithographic plates drawn from life by the author’s daughter, the painter Eugénie Watelet (1843–1906), of Soissons, who exhibited landscapes and flowers at the Salons of 1869 and 1870.
