A series of 176 engraved plates (out of 186), including 137 finely coloured ones, from the *Natural History of Insects* published in the *Nouvelles suites à Buffon*, a vast scientific collection published by Roret from 1834 onwards. With the blue paper covers of the instalments. Contents: Introduction; Diptera; Hymenoptera; Aptera; Hemiptera; Orthoptera and Neuroptera. Plates 36, 38 to 41, 44 to 46, 49 and 51 are missing.
