In-4, 21 x 27.5 cm, 2 ff., 448 pp., 10 plates & 52 pp., contemporary binding in marbled fawn half-basane, spine decorated with gilt faux-ribbing, title label, untrimmed. Second edition, expanded to include the treatise on bread-making, with a separate title page. Illustrated with 10 folded engraved plates. A copy with full margins, untrimmed. From the natural history library of Gilbert Dufaux (bookplate, dry-stamped seal on the title page, p. 39 and in the margin of one plate). Upper cap and top of spine torn off.
