An important collection of photographic plates and descriptive notes devoted to the Vienne, Deux-Sèvres and Vendée departments.
The photographer Jules Robuchon (1840–1922), from Lower Poitou, was first a publisher and later a sculptor. He settled in Poitiers in 1898, where he founded the Poitou Tourist Information Association, and served as the photographer for the Society of Antiquaries of the West.
Good condition. Three plates have been trimmed at the margins (30 x 39 cm).
