Paris, from the Imprimerie d’Égypte, located in Paris opposite the former Opéra, 11 Boulevard Martin, 1799. A small in-16 volume, in late 19th-century half-basane, with a plain spine bearing the title and date in gold lettering. 24 pp., (6) ff. of illustrations. Water stains on a few pages, foxing.
A rare, small popular manual on divination, illustrated with 90 woodcut figures spread over 6 leaves.
This publication belongs to the family of works on oneiromancy applied to the lottery, published in the second half of the 18th century under various titles, notably *L’Oniroscopie ou Application des songes et rêves aux numéros de la loterie royale de France* and *L’Onirocritie ou la vraie explication des songes*. Grand-Carteret, in *Les Almanachs français*, no. 487, notes the numerous reprints and adaptations of these small books, particularly during the Directory.
