Paris, Jacques Estienne, 1730. 2 volumes of [6]-9 to 13-289 and [4]-288-[2] pages in one in-4° volume, marbled calf, spine ribbed and decorated (contemporary binding). Frontispiece with allegorical portrait and vignette by Coypel, engraved by Tardieu and Scotin, 24 handsome out-of-text figures by Cazes, Coypel, Favanne, Humblot and Souville, engraved by Baquoy, Cochin, Dupuis, Favanne, Le Bas, Mathey and Scotin, and a folding map engraved in intaglio. Restoration to the title and hinges, the copy is in fair condition. Provenance: Label Ex-museo Delacour.
