AMAN-JEAN (Amand Edmond Jean, known as, 1858–1936), French painter. Autograph letter signed ‘Aman Jean’, addressed to ‘My Dear Friend’. Château-Thierry, 7 November 1919. One page, in-8 (slight crease marks on the quarter-fold). The painter responds belatedly to a letter mentioning an exhibition in which he was unable to take part; he sends his regards and announces that he will be in Paris ‘in a few days’.
