Folio, loose-leaf in a padded cover, publisher’s half-leather slipcase in black morocco-style with bands, parchment covers, matching black leather slipcase (small stains on the corner of the upper cover; tears without loss at the corners of the cover, some foxing).
First edition of Malraux’s text, illustrated with 12 drypoint engravings by Salvador Dalí.
A single print run of 150 copies on pure rag vellum: one of the 138 (2nd paper) comprising the 12 drypoint engravings printed on parchment, a headband and a footer (no. 29). Autograph signatures by André Malraux, Albert Skira and Salvador Dalí beneath the copy number.
All the plates on parchment bear Salvador Dalí’s original autograph signature.
