[Normandy]. ADELINE (Jules). The Quays of Rouen: Then and Now. Fifty etchings with text and captions. Rouen, Augé, 1880. Folio, green half-shagreen with corner pieces, ribbed spine, gilt title and fleurons, gilt head, covers and spine preserved (scuffing, lower cover sun-faded). A fine volume illustrated with a title-frontispiece, a frontispiece and 20 engraved plates as inserts. Limited edition of 125 copies printed on Van Gelder Holland paper, with the etchings as separate plates on tinted laid paper and the maps printed in bistre and carmine, some of which are fold-outs (no. 61 bearing the author’s monogram in ink). This copy includes the index sheet for the plates and the advertising leaflet, both printed on pink paper.
