Description
[BARCOS (Martin de, under the pseudonym Sieur Auvray)]. A critique of a book which Father Jac. Sirmond had printed from an old manuscript, and which he titled *Prædestinatus*. By Sieur Auvray, Doctor of Theology. N.p., n.p., 1644. In-4, 73 pp., soft-backed antique ivory vellum, smooth spine, title in ink (upper endpaper missing, faint foxing at the top of the pages).
This work appeared alongside six others in 1645 in a collection entitled: ‘Recueil de divers ouvrages touchant la grace’ (Collection of various works concerning grace), which is why the advertisement at the bottom of page 73 has been obscured. Also bound in this volume is: ‘Considérations sur une censure prétendue… touchant la matière de la Grace… l’année 1560’ (15 pages).
