Description
Albert BAERTSOEN (1866–1922), Belgian Impressionist painter and engraver. Signed autograph letter, addressed to ‘Dear Sir’. Ghent, 21 June 1905. One and a half pages, in-8 format, on mourning paper (very slight crease marks where folded into quarters). The painter thanks his correspondent and states that he is going to write to the Under-Secretary of State for Fine Arts, and that his letter will be forwarded by Mr Verlant through diplomatic channels, thereby giving it a better chance of being ‘well received’.
