Description
Paul VAYSON (1841–1911), French painter and engraver. Signed autograph letter, addressed to a ‘Dear Sir’. No place, 30 September, undated. One in-12 page (folded in half).
‘As a true Southerner, my friend Boyer has exaggerated a little, and perhaps been a bit soft on it too. The painting is not beyond repair; the proof is that I shall repair it, and to the best of my ability [...] the retouching may perhaps be slightly noticeable afterwards; may heaven spare you from greater misfortunes. With warmest regards”.
