[Curiosa]. STHOLL. MIRABEAU. *Le rideau levé, or The Education of Laure*. Paris: Editions de l’Ibis, 1980. Folio size, loose-leaf within the publisher’s suede-style slipcase, illustrated with a plate, plus a matching large folio-sized folder (slipcase and folder sun-faded). The volume is illustrated with original compositions by Jean-Pierre Stholl (born 1949). Limited edition of 310 numbered copies: One of 40 copies on Arches pure rag vellum (No. 36) comprising 5 loose plates, and (in the large folder): a black-and-white set of all the insert lithographs and loose plates on Arches vellum (12 plates, size 33 x 24 cm, and 2 plates, size 48 x 33 cm); probably enhanced with a colour lithograph of a double-page spread from an unpublished plate, and a colour lithograph of a re-imposed loose plate (55 × 41 cm); the entire set signed in pencil by the artist.
