Bergerat, Émile – A 2-page autograph letter, signed. Includes a signed portrait – Autograph letter signed ‘Ton Berge’, undated (circa May 1910, the release date of the comedy ‘Vidocq’), on letterhead from the Villa Caliban in St Lunaire. Enclosed is a portrait of the author by Gabriel Boutet, countersigned by Bergerat. The author (1845–1923) was a poet, playwright and columnist. Also known by the pseudonyms L’Homme masqué, Ariel and Caliban. ‘Old Pérical, you’re a good friend who doesn’t shy away from a bit of hard work, and I thank you for your *Siège de La Rochelle*.
