Publisher’s navy-blue cardboard binding, gilt edges (slight scuffing to the binding, spine very slightly tarnished, frontispiece slightly browned, a few foxing spots, particularly in the early quires but nothing serious, a few pages slightly out of sequence, pp. 351–354).
The illustrations consist of a frontispiece, 11 black-and-white plates and 39 colour plates of Imperial Guard uniforms.
