VOROCHILOV, K.E. (1881–1969) Stalin i Krasnaya armiya [Stalin and the Red Army]. Moscow: Partizdat of the Central Committee of the VKP(b), 1938. 39, [3] pp.: ill., 14 plates, maps, facsimiles; 33 x 26 cm. Print run of 5,000 copies. Graphic design by S. Telingater. Publisher’s composite binding in percaline, with polychrome decoration and embossing. Illustrated endpapers. Good condition. Scuffing and soiling to the binding, a small tear at the top of the spine, rust on the staples, and soiling and tears on a few pages. Deluxe edition. In this book, K.E. Voroshilov emphasises ‘the exceptional role played by I. Stalin at critical moments during the Civil War’. The volume contains portraits, battle diagrams, telegrams and minutes of meetings of the Presidium of the Central Committee.
