REMIZOV, ALEXEI (1877–1957) Plyas Irodiady: [poem] [The Dance of Herodias: a poem]. Berlin: Trirema, 1922. [61] pp.: ill.; 20.3 x 15 cm. A print run of 500 numbered copies, 50 of which were hand-coloured by the artist. The uncoloured copies are numbered in Arabic numerals from 1 to 400, and 50 copies are personalised from ‘Im. 1’ to ‘Im. 50’. The coloured copies are numbered in Roman numerals from I to XXX, and 20 copies are numbered by name from ‘Im. I’ to ‘Im. XX’. The author’s signature is reproduced on the title page. Entirely lithographed edition: lettering and illustrations by the artist N. Istselenov. The copy presented here is one of the thirty coloured copies, no. XIX, signed by N.I. Istselenov. With the publisher’s illustrated half-cover. Very good condition, slight soiling. One of Alexei Remizov’s rarest books.
