Design on the front cover, engravings and reproductions in the text by V.V. Kandinsky; binding design and design on the back cover by Evguenia Jiglevitch. Kandinsky’s principal theoretical work, marking his transition from figurative painting to abstraction. First published in German in Munich in 1911 and reprinted many times in numerous languages, it is regarded as ‘the gospel of twentieth-century art’. First edition in Russian. 2) ZEHDER H.
