Description
RAÏSSA BLOKH (1899–1943), AUTOGRAPH Nevod: tretiy sbornik berlinskikh poetov [The Net: Third Collection of Berlin Poets]; [edited by M.G. Gorline]. Berlin: Slovo, [1933]. 61 pp.; 20 x 13 cm. Print run of 300 copies. With the publisher’s typographic half-cover. Good condition. Slight scuffing and soiling to the cover. Dedication by R. Blokh on the half-title page: ‘To dear Nadia as a token of friendship and sympathy, Raïa / Paris, Cité Universitaire 17 June 1933’. The publication of *Le Filet* coincided with the departure of Raïssa Blokh and Mr Gorline for Paris. Political tensions were mounting in Germany at the time, which no doubt prompted some of the poets to seek a safer place in which to create. Raïssa Noïevna Blokh (1899–1943), a poet of the Russian émigré community, was the wife of the poet Mikhaïl Gorline (1909–1944), with whom she belonged to the Berlin Poets’ Circle. Both perished in concentration camps. Poets featured in the anthology: Ia. Bikerman, Raïssa Blokh, Nina Brodskaya, Nikolai Belotsvetov, Mikhail Gorline, Yuri Djanoumov, Vera Lurie, Vl. Piotrovski, Sofia Pregel, Georgy Raevsky, Evgeny Raich, Nikolai Eliachov, Viktoria Erden.
