Description
GUERLAIN. A large bottle of SHALIMAR eau de toilette. 1500 ml. Height: 38 cm. This fragrance, developed in 1921 and presented at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925, was created as a tribute to the young Indian princess of Persian origin, Mumtaz Mahal, for whom her husband, the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, had the most iconic of mausoleums built and to whom he dedicated it: the Taj Mahal. The bottle was designed by Raymond Guerlain at Baccarat. For a historical overview, see the link: https://www.journalduluxe.fr/fr/beaute/l-histoire-du-legendaire-shalimar-de-guerlain
