Set of six gold coins from different periods and workshops in the Maghreb
Maghreb, 10th-19th century
Comprising :
A half-bonduqi struck under Sultan Moulay 'Abd al-Rahman (r. 1822-1869), dated 1240 H / 1824, Fez workshop, weight: 1.76 g.
An Almohad half-dinar in the name of Sultan Abû Ya'qûb Yûsuf (r. 1163-1182), without date or workshop, weight: 2.3 g (diam. 21 mm).
A dinar (or half-dinar) attributed to Mas'ûd ibn Wâmuddîn (r. 990-1020), Emir of the Maghrâwa, weight: 2.1 g.
A half-dinar attributed to the rulers of Sijilmassa (Beni Midrar), in the name of Muhammad ibn Fâtih Ibn Midû (r. 941-958), (possibly a later mint or imitation for jewellery).
A Saadian dinar in the name of Sultan Abû Fâris (r. 1603-1668), Marrakesh workshop, weight: 3.8 g.
A Merinid quarter dinar, weight: 1.1 g (diam. 15 mm).
