Description
Three gold coins bearing the effigy of the Qajar kings Iran, dated hegira 1299 and 1335 / AD 1882-1916 Three gold coins bearing the effigy of the Qajar kings Two Toman coins, depicting the three-quarter-face uniform bust of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, surrounded by a text in Persian indicating the date of coronation "Jolus Saltanat 1264 AH/1847", the place and date of minting "Zarb Iran, 1299 AH/ 1882" and, on the reverse, in a medallion surrounded by laurel branches, the name of the king inscribed in Persian "Al-Sultan Naser al-Din Shah Qajar". (D. 2 cm; B.P. 5.9 and 5.7 gr.) The third, [1/2 Toman], depicts the bust of Ahmad Shah Qajar in three-quarter-face uniform and bears the date AH 1335 /1916 and on the reverse the king's name in Persian in a medallion surrounded by laurel branches.
