Acquired from the family of engraver Mr Louis-Joseph Soulas (1905 - 1954), who also created the frame.

A pair of single-sided proofs of the 5-livre banknote of the Banque de Syrie et du Liban, 1933, engraved by Louis-Joseph Soulas after a design by Jean Demarcq, signed by the engraver.
