Emile GALLE (1846–1904), attributed to Earthenware plate with scalloped rim, featuring an all-over design of a polychrome beggar woman holding a bowl. Based on the engraving entitled: “No. 20, The Beggar Woman of Seville” by Jacques CALLOT, from the series “Les Gueux” published in Nancy around 1622–1623. A similar plate inspired by this series is signed by Emile Gallé (1846–1904) and is held at the Musée d’Orsay under the inventory number: “OAO 1539 3”. Diameter: 25 cm.
