GERMANY. SAXONY-ANHALT. Model 1895 infantry helmet from the 93rd Infantry Regiment of the Duchy of Anhalt, with a black patent-leather crown and brass fittings, front plate featuring an eagle with a band reading ‘Gott für Fürst und Vaterland’ and a nickel-silver centre bearing the coat of arms of the Duchy of Anhalt, good-quality Reich and Duchy cockades, leather chin strap, marked inside the helmet with ‘A.J.R. 93’, 1913, (Anhaltische Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 93), and on the neck strap ‘R.J.R.36. I. B’, the Duchy’s reserve regiment; not re-drilled; owner’s name handwritten. Helmet in almost new condition. TBE Collection of Master Luc Girard.
