Souvenirs of General Charles-Louis Trémeau: Norway Order of Saint Olaf. Commander's Cross, military title, Ø: 6.1 cm in gold (32 g), enamel, tie, case from C.E. Carlman Stockholm. ATTACHED: the patent of attribution, dated 15 January 1893, signature and seal, statute of the Order and certified translation. Trémeau Charles-Louis (1849 - 1915) Student at the École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr in 1869 and 1870, Second Lieutenant in the 1er Régiment de marche des Dragons and took part in the Siege of Paris, then joined the École de Cavalerie de Saumur. Lieutenant in 1873, Captain in 1875, he was an orderly of the Minister of War, General Campenon, then ensign at Saumur, Chef d'Escadron in 1883. Chief of Staff of the 2nd Cavalry Division, Lieutenant-Colonel in 1890, second-in-command of the Saumur Cavalry School, then Deputy Chief of Staff at the Ministry of War.
