Royal Navy officer’s sabre, original and high-quality mount with a horn hilt featuring large twists, a very high guard decorated with a large shell, as on the pommel, flat blade ‘Coulaux & Frères... ’, ‘O F in an oval’, ‘G in a circle’, leather scabbard with plain trimmings, featuring an uncrowned anchor motif marked ‘Rouart à Paris’ in relief within an oval (blacksmith active from 1825 to 1830), beautifully crafted and by a rare blacksmith.
