Description
Handmade purses, medals and rings from the Yser, 1916. Leather purse marked ‘Yser Noel 1916’, in good condition, showing signs of wear and containing a few coins. A very fine leather case, hot-stamped in gold, with a bilingual inscription commemorating the Battle of the Yser in 1919. Four handcrafted aluminium rings, all marked ‘YSER’, one of which features polychrome inclusions. Two Yser medals with fire certificates, one French-speaking, the other Dutch-speaking, both awarded. Patina. Yser 1916 coin purse, medals and handmade rings. Leather coin purse marked ‘Yser Noel 1916’, in good condition with signs of use and a few coins. Fine leather case with gilt-stamped bilingual inscription commemorating the Battle of the Yser in 1919. Four handmade aluminium rings, all marked ‘YSER’, one with multicoloured inlays. Two Yser medals with veteran’s fire cards, one in French and one in Dutch, both named. Patina.
