Belgian sabre with a lion’s head. Nickel silver mountings, three-pronged guard and quillon. Lion’s head pommel with gilding. Fluted hilt with filigree, showing a defect worth noting. Very slightly curved blade, with a flat back, unmarked. Leather scabbard with nickel-silver fittings, featuring a chape with a loop for a strap. The blade does not fit completely into the scabbard, leaving a gap of approximately 3.8 cm. Oxidation and signs of wear. Belgian lion-head sabre.
