Description
A feldgrau velvet tunic belonging to a non-commissioned officer of the 22nd Baden Dragoons. A fine and rare feldgrau velvet tunic with four pockets, fastened with six corozo buttons, covered by a flap similar to that of an M1915 tunic. Turn-down collar with short Borte braid and rank buttons 29 mm in diameter, indicating a non-commissioned officer. Feldgrau velvet shoulder boards with counter-flaps, the number 22 in scarlet chain stitch and double black and red piping, indicating the 22nd Baden Dragoons. The four pockets fasten with M1915 crown buttons. Left breast pocket with two loops, probably for a First Class Iron Cross. Feldgrau fabric lining. Signs of wear and tear, patina. A rather uncommon configuration. Feldgrau velvet NCO’s Waffenrock of the Baden Dragoon Regiment No. 22. A fine, uncommon four-pocket field-grey velvet tunic with six concealed corozo buttons beneath a fly front, as on an M1915 Bluse. Turn-down collar with short NCO Borte braid and 29 mm rank buttons. Enlisted velvet shoulder straps with retaining tabs, scarlet chain-stitched ‘22’ and double black and red piping identifying the Baden Dragoon Regiment No. 22. Four pockets fastened with M1915 crown buttons. Two award loops on the left breast, probably for the First Class Iron Cross. Field-grey lining. Wear and patina. Uncommon configuration.
