Description
Scale model, barrel length 450 mm, movable breech locked by a hinged breechblock secured by an artillery thread with interrupted threads Rifled barrel, two cast trunnions, tulip-shaped muzzle; the gun is displayed on its field carriage, with 14-spoke wooden wheels, an iron sheet ammunition box bolted to the left hub; the sides of the carriage feature a cleaning brush, a ramrod and various operating levers. Functional elevation adjustment screws for the gun. The model comes with a scale model of its front carriage, complete with a sheet-iron box lined with wood and a drawbar for the horses. The box contains two cardboard cartridge casings and a turned wooden shell with four propellant bands. A superbly crafted piece, though non-functional as the hole for the primer has not been drilled.
