Jean-Émile PUIFORCAT (1897-1945) Important 160-piece silver household set, "Trouville" model, comprising: 9 large forks, 9 large knives with forged silver handles and steel blades signed Jean Puiforcat, 12 fish forks, 12 fish knives, 24 dessert forks, 12 dessert spoons, 24 dessert or cheese knives with forged silver handles and steel blades signed Jean Puiforcat, 24 small spoons, 12 fruit knives with forged silver handles and silver blades signed Jean Puiforcat, 10 ice-cream spoons, a ladle, two large serving spoons with teeth, 2 sauce spoons, 2 serving spoons for entremets, 2 large serving spoons for salad, a small serving spatula, a pie server and an ice-cream scoop. Geometric pattern. Figured "L.W.". Marked with the Minerve head mark (1st title), the boar's head mark and the goldsmith's hallmark. In six brown sheathed trays signed "Puiforcat, Paris" and in two branded antioxidant pouches. Created in 1937. Net weight: 7,511 g. Gross weight of the silver-bladed fruit knives: 1,123.6 g. Gross weight of the large knives and dessert or cheese knives: 3,353.2 g. Total gross weight: 11,987.8 g.
